This has been a long journey to arrive finally in the website working correctly! 
 
At first, the website was working on Vercel, since it is running a NextJs app, it was pretty easy to put to work on Vercel, but the database is using a Strapi API which was not working really well over Heroku, it was all the time restarting and leaving the NextJs instance giving error and not displaying the website itself because that problem, spitting out 500s errors all the time, after that the decision to set up a custom instance running Strapi was the right option but without the SSL working on it not any image was able to pass through HTTP because the main website was running over HTTPS, very annoying as well. 
 
 
So what was the solution? A reverse proxy to connect all the instances through SSL and custom instances with everyone running every server. Allowing then the harmony to come back to the Klys ecosystem. 
 
 
Yes, there still some errors to correct, but that is another story!

Finally the website is fully running!

The picture shows a 71hours travel if you don't stop of course, but in my case I made around 7 stops because first of all in every frontier is require to stamp in the passport the exit of the previous country and the entrance of the country ahead, taking in account that I made this travel when a lot of Venezuelans was also making it, it makes sense that 2 weeks is almost not enough.
 
Just imagine making a long long queue on every frontier. we are talking about the frontier between Venezuela and Colombia, Colombia and Ecuador, finally Ecuador and Peru. Also adding the stop on every bus stop, because I went in buses, not a personal car. Crazy, right?
 
Millions of Venezuelan have been going away from their homeland just because the political, economic, and well, let's say it, is a crisis, a very dramatic crisis, being this country very happy and full of petroleum, how can this happen? Very bad decisions for sure.

 And daddy google know it pretty well.
 
Sometimes I dream about being again in Venezuela with my families, my friends, then I wake up in the middle of the night... You know, is sad. But I have made my way to overcome it and still here.
 
My best advice about whoever you are reading this is: Don't let any revolutionary guy trying to change the country dramatically let it do it, any revolution is always bad for everyone, nothing should be forced. Keep it in mind.

From Venezuela to Peru in 2 weeks travel

After a 1 year of the free tier of Google Cloud Platform I just migrate the entire server to a EC2 instance on Amazon Web Services also on free tier, looking forward how it was?
 
Lets take a look on it.
 

**The website was down for 5 days**
 


After 1 year working with Google Cloud with the previous setup listed on this post [here](https://klys.dev/blog/finally-working) Google Cloud instead of sending my any signal to do something before the end of the free tier, so was time to try new horizons so do I on Amazon Web Services....

But before going direct to the point on how I did it, first a history:

 

That picture above was from May 5, exactly on May 6 i received my second shot on the moderna vaccine leading my to almost 2 days on bed, that end us on May 8, my birthday, I pass all that day just playing around, and then come May 9 mother's day, finally today May 10 I am being able to remount the website once again and now on AWS.

 

So after this little chronicle of my life lets jump to the game:

 

**How did i remount everything?**

 

The **first step** was to sign up for the first time to Amazon Web Service, then i found that i can use EC2 on free tier, so i look for my favorite debian or ubuntu free tier, after mounting, setting up the keypair and the security group to allow port 80 and port 443 (for ssl) I connect to it using and SSH Client then install first bitnami lamp (my favorite for managing apache2 and reverse proxies).

 

The **second step** was to install my server and database app which are on node js apps to make them works properly.

 

And voila! We are here again!

Moved from Google Cloud Plaftorm to Amazon Web Services!

We are now on AWS!

I just installed Nextcloud on my own HP ProLiant server running Ubuntu Server, as you may now, it come with the option to preinstall it during the installation process.



**Lets see what I did:**



- After installing Ubuntu Server with Nextcloud, I first set up the connection from the machine giving internet to my server to be able to connect through port 80 


- Later I installed a Reverse Proxy on that aforemention machine to give access to the intranet to nextcloud and all services inside the server 


- The last setting to be done was inside nextcloud to accept the Reverse Proxy.




And that is it, just like that, I installed Nextcloud under my intranet. I am looking forward to open the ports to the world so my remote team can enjoy the services, but before that I am going to install the necessary security settings. Starting with SSL.
